If Lost from Manchester United, Liverpool is not a Champion Candidate
Manchester United (MU) legend, Bryan Robson, believes Liverpool champions chances will run out if lost to the Red Devils. Liverpool will host Manchester United tonight at the Anfield Stadium.
According to Robson, this party can be a measure of the strength of both teams. Manchester United currently top the standings with Manchester City with a notch 19 points, while the new Reds have 12 points.
At the beginning of the season, Liverpool and MU are both favorites to win the Premier League from 2017-2018. Robson argues, team made by Jurgen Klopp need encouragement to re-compete in the top.
“They (MU) will be a challenge to get the title, as far as I know, so in fact this is a more important game for Liverpool,” said Robson, as reported by 101 Great Goals.
“If they can beat United, there’s a big gap between them and Man City and MU,” he said.
On the other hand, Robson rate, Manchester United’s victory over Liverpool can be an important point. It can prove that Jose Mourinho’s troops are really competitive to become English Premier League champions.
“I think at this stage it will be three brilliant points for Manchester United – it’s always a great opportunity for fans and players,” he said.
“They showed great games so far and I hope it will not be different when I meet Liverpool,” said Robson.
